Finding Family For Less
Were your ancestors really royals? Did your grandma really marry her first cousin? Did your uncle really have 13 children?

WHO AM I?
My name is Stephanie Quinn and I have a passion for genealogy. I have a degree in family and community history from Brigham Young University. I am a genealogy hobbyist whose strength is helping people get started and organized on their own family history. I would love to help you piece together your pedigree to form your family's unique and wonderful picture.

WHAT I CAN DO?

I have helped many people pull together their histories. I can take all the shreds of family history notes lying around your house, and newsclipping and handwritten scribble from grandma and return to you a notebook with printouts of your line, a cd with all the information entered into a database and post information to community ancestral sites online if you like as well.

Included in the notebook will be a list of suggested steps on "what to do next" to further your research on your own. You should utilize this notebook as a workbook. You can use it on the go to jot down notes, make corrections and keep track of new information you find.

CD
One I have entered your family's data into my software program, I can email you an attachment with this data or for $5.00 I can copy it onto a CD. I use the Personal Ancestral File program, but when making your CD or emailing your data, I will place it in a GEDCOM format which should be compatible with almost any genealogy software programs on the market.

If you choose to use the Personal Ancestral File Program, you can download it for free at
http://www.familysearch.org/

Publishing your data online
One of the best avenues for furthering your research is to post your data online so that others researching the same lines might have the opportunity to connect with you and share information they may have which will be a help to you both. With your permission, I will post your data with a contact email address for you to the following sites:
http://www.familysearch.org/, http://www.rootsweb.org/ and http://www.ancestry.com/

Recipe for Greek Rotisserie Chicken Pasta

We had this for dinner last night and it was delicious. For 2 adults and 4 big kids we doubled the recipe.

2 cups uncooked penne pasta
1/4 cup butter
1 large onion, chopped
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 can (14 1/2 oz) chicken broth
3 cups cubed rotisserie chicken (I used the breast meat from 1 chicken from Safeway)
1 jar marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped finely (I didn't use marinated)
1 cup (4 oz) crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup chopped oil packed sun dried tomatoes (I liked chopped or julienned sliced)
1/3 cup sliced pitted greek olives (I just used sliced black olives)
2 Tbsp minced fresh parsley

Cook pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile,in a large pot, melt butter. Add onions and sauté until tender (make sure they are tender). Stir in flour until blended and gradually add chicken broth Bring to a boil, cook and stir for a few minutes until thickened. Be sure to watch closely so it does not burn. Stir in the Rotisserie chicken pieces, artichoke, feta cheese, tomatoes, and olives.

Drain pasta, stir into the pan. Broil in the oven 3-4 inches from the heat for 5-7 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Sprinkle with parsley.

It reminds me of Penne Rusica at Macaraoni Grill but without the ham flavor. We all loved it, enjoy!
